Reflection
Abstinence isn’t just about what we stop eating—it’s about what we start becoming. In surrendering harmful food behaviors, we make space for spiritual growth, emotional balance, and daily freedom. Abstinence is the most radical act of self-care and God-trust we can make.
It isn’t perfection. It’s honesty. It’s showing up. It’s weighing and measuring, praying instead of grazing, reaching out instead of isolating. It’s remembering that we don’t eat no matter what, and we don’t do it alone.
Mantra: Today, I choose freedom over false comfort.
Affirmation: God, help me stay honest, connected, and consistent with my food plan today.
Quote: “Abstinence is not a punishment—it’s a pathway.”
Prompt: What part of abstinence feels hard today? What part feels like a gift?
